Prevent Browser from Hijacking the Media Keys
Mindlessly you click a YouTube link and it starts playing. Surprise! Your play/pause button pauses the video instead of the music playing.
Easy fix, go to your Chromium-based browser and turn off Hardware Media Key Handling. Paste the following in the address bar: chrome://flags/#hardware-media-key-handling
There's also a third party application that fixes the same problem: Reflex.
But I'm fine with turning off the media keys for the whole browser.
