The guys from Aborted fight the generic with inviting their 'friends' to play on the record. Great choice. The result is punishing, pulsing, and engaging modern Death Metal. Synths and samples to set the mood. Speed to spew the gore across the room. It's everything you expect and then some.
The guests add the spice that take the tracks from 'fuck' to 'fuck yea'. Aborted knows what makes a good album. They've been at it for years. Unfortunately, the recording feels too mechanic at times. Too clean? Imagine this record on tape. Without quantisation. Perhaps without click track. One can dream.
