Battle Ballads

While their peers are crossing swords—“Was this the band about werewolfs or war?”—Týr is off doing their own thing. And this time it's more straightforward. The album is raw, melodic and occasionally epic. It's the Hold the Heathen Hammer High Týr with orchestral hits, so to speak. It did not blow my mind. Yet, I do not think Týr has ever. Nevertheless, the recording has a high fun factor. And it is on heavy rotation in our household. Dragon's Never Die is a highlight, it makes me want to go in the woods in search for lindwyrms.

I am owner of number 260 out of 300 of their special edition vinyl. Which is cool.
