@stephenrobles what is the difference between the RC and this “Also available”? Just some bug fixes from those few days?

@things The app icon on iOS is a work of art. Truly. Best looking app icon on the App Store 💯

@spinningthoughts as I understand from the “outliners community” is that when you go “too deep” it warrants its own page. That way it will always be filling up.

Outlining does feel like less busywork. I’ll be exploring. Specifically curious about “linking” blocks.

@matthiasott we have experimented with Bunny Stream as well. We as the product team liked it. Lot’s of possibilities.

Eventually we ended choosing Vimeo, but that has more to do with brand recognition than anything else.

@brad_frost

Black Flag’s Rise Above as a warmup.
The Who’s Won’t Get Fooled Again for endurance training.
And then Tom Sawyer to just mess with you.

@ellane Very welcome! I also realise now that that reply was badly written. Sorry for making you read something that horrific. 🤣

I have been on a ‘debloat’ kick the past months and now iPhone Air has my attention. For no rational reason. Clearly. It’s a bad deal. But I want it. 🫠

@kev totally. They know EXACTLY what and for who they are building. Which is a real breath of fresh air.

Every now and then I look at their roadmap and go: “Oh ye. That’s a smart move” –as if I know what I am talking about.

@ellane just fyi, the iPhone 17 Pro’s 8x optical-QUALITY zoom rather than a true 8x optical zoom, it has 4x zoom that is fully optical. The rest is sensor cropping and computational magic. 🔬

I don’t know if that changes anything, though.

@ChrisLawley now that’s what I call a walkthrough. I’m curious whether it can rekindle my love for my rusty 2019 iPad Pro. Have you experienced any performance difference on older devices, compared to previous iOS versions?

@settee Came across this at complete random. I couldn’t have said it better myself. I’m only getting started, yet it already feels like home.

@stefanlassnig.bsky.social I’m not on X and I get where you’re coming from. Still, have you considered that this kind of all-or-nothing thinking might just split the conversation even more?

Where does that leave us—one social platform for left politics, another for right? Can’t be productive either.

@manton Manton, do I proxy the A-name record via Cloudflare? Or is it fine just to point directly to 49.13.40.136?

@werd.io It also very depends on what you do with your phone.

I upgraded from 11 Pro to ‘normal’ 15. It works flawlessly.

I can take snapshots with a good enough camera, it’s runs all the apps I need it to and am not bothered by not having Apple Intelligence.

I’m barely pushing this phone to any limit.

@manton Totally. I’m convinced the icons should add affordance to the label.

I saw an Apple made menu with four cogs underneath each other and thought, What’s the use of that? 🤷

It feels an exercise in matching existing icons with menu labels.

> “We spend money on these icons! Better use them!”

@manton It’s particularly frustrating when some items have their own icons, others share the same icon, and some don’t have any at all. I prefer to scan in a straight line down, and this is making that unnecessarily complicated.

@geffrey Sorry about this. I am doing a second reply. This way I know what the HTML does on multiple replies.

@geffrey This is me replying to me own post. So that I can style the replies on my theme.

@jim Same. The wife and I were excited at first, but then quickly disappointed. “What, that’s all!?” we said in unison when the event ended. I like the iPhone Air as a concept phone, but I’ll let the early adopters play with it for a bit before I even consider upgrading.
